Historic Downtown Madison
The Madison Mom
Third Thursdays on Main
We had the best time at Third Thursdays on Main this week. I loved getting to see the faces behind our amazing Madison businesses. If you missed it this month, you’ve got another opportunity on Thursday, July 21st! Walk the streets of Downtown Madison enjoying live music, food trucks, as well as local vendors and shops.
Old Thyme Farmers Market
No Friday night plans? Let me help you out. Check out the brand new Old Thyme Market in Downtown Madison. The Market is open from 3-7 every Friday.
Some of their amazing vendors include:
John Tinger Guitarist/Composer/Improviser
Black Dog Grounds & Sounds
Nanny's Old Fashion Lemonade
Fatima Farm
Sister Creek Clay Co.
Henry’s Family Farm
Dust on the Sill
Par 5 Livestock
Reed's Farmers Market
Last Friday we walked through the market and ended our night at Old Black Bear Brewing Company with dinner and live music outside. Scroll through the photos below to see the best pimento cheeseburger I’ve ever had 😍.
Of course, there are several amazing shops in Downtown Madison to enjoy as well!
Lemon & Lavender
I got to do a little shopping this weekend (if you couldn't tell by my Instagram stories. ☺️) and had to stop by Lemon & Lavender in Historic Downtown Madison. I truly, truly enjoy supporting our local shops. Our little town is growing and downtown is blossoming into something so amazing!
The next time you visit downtown don't forget to walk into this yellow house! Enter the first door on your right and you are in L&L!
After visiting their shop I, of course, had to find their website. Once there, I stumbled upon a note from the Lemon & Lavender team, Brandy and Shannon:
"As women, we know the value of self-care, and as mothers, we also want to do our part to protect the environment to leave a better world for our children and grandchildren. This has led us to source many of our products from earth-derived, organic materials. We also strive to decrease consumer footprint by providing reusable containers to the best of our ability. We have proudly partnered with small businesses around the globe who share our same vision of eco-friendly products that are carefully curated. By shifting the mindset from convenient to conscious, our hope is to leave the world better than we found it.
So we thank you for being a part of our vision - for being a part of an ongoing global sense of awareness in what we put in and on our bodies. Every day we are grateful for your support. We owe the success of our vision to you, our customers. Change starts with one but ends with many."
What an amazing vision, not to mention amazing products! Some products I am loving: lavender shower steamer, woodwick soy candles, jute baskets, wooden dough bowls, vases, and their entire luxury self-care line. 🙌🏼
📍16 Main St, Madison, AL 35758
Lemon & Lavender plans to open a newly renovated space just a couple buildings down in just a few weeks!! I am so excited to witness this new adventure! 🥳
