PEEK AT THE PARKS
Monte Sano State Park Playground is one for the books. Explore the 20 miles of hiking trails and 14 miles of biking trails in the area as well, but I think it's worth the trek up the mountain just to make that stop by the park! We grabbed Chick-fil-A on Governors to eat while there, but you could easily pack and bring your own lunch/drinks from home. We did some walking and exploring and discovered a disc golf course and a short trail that lead to a cool waterfall! ---> more info on the waterfall next week!
Notes:
It looks like there's some construction happening next to the play area, but we enjoyed our visit non the less!!
Play equipment is mostly in the sun, but there’s plenty of shaded benches and tables in the area where you can cool off.
Head past the park on your way out to take in the gorgeous views at the overlook!
