If you're craving an outdoor adventure, Hays Nature Preserve is the absolute best place to be!! You may have seen on our Instagram stories Tuesday, we made the 30 minute drive from Madison to spend some quality outdoor time with friends! So much fun was had.
I know what you're after...SHADE. Hays has a ton of it. Pick one of their many picnic tables (we packed lots of snacks and water) and watch your children explore. Our favorites were the giant rope swing, sand dig area, swinging bridge, tree house, and seesaws. This place is giant. There's so much to do. We were also excited to find that they have bathrooms!!
You can't forget to explore the other areas of Hays as well.
My kids were obsessed with the lake and streams. We will definitely be taking the fishing poles next time.
Explore the over 10 miles of hiking trails and greenways that follows the Flint River.
