Back in the day, I used to travel with a bus full of kids to Delano Park and Splash Pad while working as a summer camp counselor. It was then that I discovered that this place was something special.
This past week I got to take my own children here. To say that my memory served me well would be an understatement. This park has it ALL: shade over playground equipment, an incredibly large play area, shaded seating for parents, basketball courts, lush greenery, several picnic pavilions, bathrooms, opportunities for learning with a history walk, and…of course, a splash pad!
A plus? Areas (including the splash pad) are available for rent for events! Just 25 minutes from Madison, Delano Park is a MUST visit.
