Madison Area Parks

This summer I planned to take a peek at our Madison Area parks by visiting one park each week. Here’s what I found!

Chadrick Park

πŸ‘€A Peek at the Parks πŸ‘€

We visited Chadrick Park yesterday and it was the perfect way to end the day (aka get all the extra energy out before bed).

Madison, Alabama Parks and Recreation just made some huge upgrades here and it looks like they are still working on extending the mulch to include the swings. It is πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ. The playground includes slides, a rock wall, tunnel, regular swings, and baby swings. The play area is full sun, but there are several older benches and picnic tables located in the shade. There’s plenty of space for running and playing in the large field and even a single basketball goal with room for shooting some hoops.

Definitely worth checking out!

Palmer Park

πŸ‘€ A Peek at the Parks! πŸ‘€

Last weekend included a before nap time visit to Palmer Park off of Palmer Rd. in Madison for a quick chicken nugget picnic and fun!! I grew up going here with my family for my brothers games, but never really experienced the park! It's an awesome wide open space where you are able to keep an eye on your child at all times! The park includes several covered pavilions with picnic tables and even grills. There are also several shaded, open area picnic tables.

We loved the spot and will definitely return again soon!

The park includes:
* 13 youth baseball fields
* Six softball fields
* Six soccer fields
* Two regulation football fields
* Three concession buildings with restroom facilities and press boxes
* Four pavilions
* Playground designed with ADA accessibility

Ashley Park Madison Alabama

Ashley Park

πŸ‘€ A Peek at the Parks πŸ‘€

We stopped by a new to us park on the way home yesterday and Owen exclaimed "this was perfect!" as we walked back to the car. Safe to say it's πŸ’―.

Nestled into the trees off of Eastview sits Ashley Park! Madison, Alabama Parks and Recreation just did an overhaul of this cute place and added some awesome new additions. There are plenty of picnic tables for snacking, several swing sets, shade, slides, rock wall, so many sticks for the playing πŸ€£πŸ˜…, and so much more!

Give it a visit!!

Kids Kingdom Madison Alabama

Kids Kingdom

πŸ‘€ A Peek at the Parks β˜€οΈ

In an effort to get my kids outside more I have decided to try and visit as many local and area parks to share with you--I am going to shoot for one a week! First up is a no brainer: Dublin Park! πŸ“8324 Madison Pike Madison, AL Madison, Alabama Parks and Recreation

We visited Kids Kingdom, located behind the main building, this past week. It was a dream to get energy out on the way home from daycare! There are several picnic tables to enjoy a picnic or snack while you are there. My kids truly enjoyed the giant pile of mulch that probably was not intended for play 🀣 Indoor bathrooms and water fountains are a huge plus!

There have been rumblings of a renovation at this site and I am super excited about it! The plan is to rebuild the entire park with a focus on inclusivity! Read more or donate to the project here πŸ‘‰πŸΌ https://gobuildakingdom.com Wouldn’t it be cool if they added a little splash pad?! You heard the idea here first. πŸ˜‰β€οΈ

* 25 yard – Eight lanes heated indoor swimming pool
* Meeting rooms and administrative offices
* Paved walking trail
* Nine soccer fields
